  31. : jobs and responsibilities.  Not to mention, they are more interested in
  32. : the company's success than blowing it's money on unecessary plane trips,
  33. : rental cars, dinners on the company credit card in the most expensive
  34. : restaurants because they felt they were entitled.

  36. I'd have to disagree it was those passionate crazy people that made NewTek
  37. what it is today.  It was that underdog company that created this whole
  38. desktop industry.  Sure in the process so of them let it go to their heads
  39. but in general you got to have that passion if you want to change an entire
  40. industry's focus.  You want employees interested in you're company, give
  41. them a part of it, they'll work harder and better.  And when the crunch
  42. comes down to problems, their butts on the line as well that makes them
  43. work harder too.  All that wasting of money did get out of control at times,
  44. thats for sure, and those days may be over for they were a bit essecesive,
  45. but that was part of their magic.  And they haven't had magic in quite
  46. awhile.

  55. Well that may be true, Dwight may help in that respect, but what he needs
  56. now is to get in the customers shoes and take a good look at NewTek, and
  57. then he needs to know where the industry will be in 5 years, see where
  58. NewTek fits in, and most of all where his customers fit in.  If he doesnt
  59. know that, or cant do that, Newtek is simply a neat R&D gizmo company.  They
  60. may never have the pioneering - IN YER FACE - magic they once had.  Can they
  61. change it all again?  I dont think so.  Not without the passion & the magic.
